On Saturday, we spent the afternoon at the Osceola County Fair, which we enjoyed maybe a little more than the state fair! Well, the weather might have had something to do with that! It was cool, but a beautiful day nonetheless.
We saw several shows during the course of the day - this was the first, and definitely one of the favorites! This is a 1923 Model t Ford - the first RV. It was pretty cool and so were the 2 old guys who were singing.
There was a dog show featuring mostly Dobermans - all dogs that this family had rescued or pups of rescued dogs. This little cutie was doing a one paw stand.
We spent a while watching the tractor pull. There were big tractors and little ones - it went on all day! This is a little girl called Abby with her "Lil Pink Thing" tractor. Cute!
This fellow was from Orillia, ON. Not sure if he keeps the tractor down there and enters lots of fairs or trailers it back and forth.
Early in the afternoon on Sat., there were hardly any people on the midway - it picked up a little later on, but a far cry from Port Hope Fair on a Sat. afternoon! Mind you, this one is on for a little over a week.
A couple of rides on the midway.
The fair is attached to the "Silver Spurs Rodeo Arena", hence the bulls, I guess.
I love watching the giraffe! Such loose lips and long tongue!
Okay, is he white with black stripes, or black with white stripes? So cute!
One of the shows we watched, which was really good, was the Moojician - he was really good, and it was milk-related and educational as well.
A bearded dragon - a kid's pet displayed with small animals and reptile pets.
This was the "Whacky Wheeler". It was a pretty cool piece of equipment! And he was really good at it.
I have never seen a kid showing a pig. I guess you don't put a harness on a pig - you steer him with a cane.
