Fast forward to June 6th 2014.
Bev and Glen gave us this beautiful edible arrangement. If you look close enough, you can see a 50 in pineapple.
The kids gave us each a beautiful corsage of a white rose. So pretty!
I was totally shocked and surprised to see a limousine waiting for us outside Greg and Karen's house!
And our limousine driver was Greg!
Greg is a director for Park Memorial Funeral Home, and they kindly let him use one of their limousines for the evening!
There was even a bucket with glasses and sparkling grape juice waiting for us inside. What a nice touch!
And my sister, Bev, who had been my maid-of-honor 50 years ago, and her husband, Glen rode with us. We had a short tour before dinner, and a longer tour of the downtown area after dinner.
Dinner was at the Chateau Lacomb, in the revolving restaurant 24 stories up, Laronde, and it was amazing! A very wonderful experience, as we circled slowly to see all around the city.
Two very beautiful and much loved grand-daughters, Erin and Megan.
Greg and Karen.
Jeff and Kerry.
Bev and Glen.
Dessert was very yummy!
Going down in the elevator. |
These beautiful roses, along with the "50" balloon were waiting for us on the tables in the restaurant.
We can never thank our kids enough for the very exciting and memorable evening to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary!
We love you all so much!
