Left the Gan Marina this morning and went as far as Gordon Island. For a while, we had the dock to ourselves. Now we have neighbours. But they're nice neighbours.
This mama duck brought her babies to the marina for a smorgasbord breakfast this morning. The high winds washed in a lot of weeds, etc. There are about a kazillion cormorants by this lighthouse! What a treat I have had today, watching a mama and a papa bird feeding their very young babies. I think they are Eastern Kingbirds - a kind of fly-catcher. This is probably the mama.
Anyone know, is this salmonberry?
The neighbours are having a fire - a good one!
A beautiful sunset - taken from the "balcony" of the outhouse!
