Great Last Day in the Daytona Area

What a great day it has been, even though it was another 4-layer day - cold and windy.

We drove slowly down the beach to Ponce Inlet - one of the inlets from the Atlantic to the Intrcoastal Waterway, in this case, the Halifax River.  It boasts the highest lighthouse in Florida, second highest in the USA.  We have climbed the 203 steps to the top in the past, but not today. We also didn't visit the museum today, but rode our bikes all around the area, and had a picnic lunch.  We saw dolphins in the inlet, pelicans and a great egret hoping for a handout from the fishermen, and many wonderful flowers - I love taking flower pictures.  And unlike LAST Friday, I didn't fall off my bike.  I still haven't recovered from last week!  All in all, a great last day in the Daytona area.
