Critters at Brookgreen Gardens - March 20/14

I think I enjoyed the flowers, critters, and birds at Brookgreen Gardens more than the sculptures.  Surprise, surprise.  Today, it will be the critters.

This little critter was actually inside the building where the display of horses was.  I'm sure he would rather have been outside!

There's a bit of a farm area.  The white one here is actually a mule.

This is a Red Devon milking cow.

These are Tunis sheep.

And of course the otters.  I love watching them.

A red fox.....

.....and a gray fox.
The Spanish goats were brought to the U.S. in the 1500's by Spanish explorers, and were the only breed in the southern states for over 300 years.  They were used for milk, meat, wool and pelts.

This brave lady did a presentation of some critters common to the area.

And of course the turtles and the gators - they were enjoying the sun that day.
