Last day in Kissimme - March 14/14

What a gorgeous day for our last day in Kissimmee for this year.  It started out cold, but warmed up nicely, so I got a haircut, then we rode the bikes for a few hours, and had a final picnic here.

First, we rode on the path that takes us by the regional airport - it was quite busy today, with small planes, and even a few jets.

Through a Cyprus swamp.

I thought this was an unusual stump, mixed up with Cyprus knees.

And a picnic, of course.

They sure do grow those gators big around here - notice the poor driver hanging from a rope.
Of course, we had to go back to see if the other egg had hatched.  It's still sitting on the nest, so it's probably not going to hatch now.

This little fellow is thriving though.

Lots of water lilies out today.

And the "Bald Cyprus" trees are finally beginning to get their spring foliage.  They are kind of like the Tamarac - a coniferous tree that sheds its leaves.
