New bike trail

As we biked east on 192 today, we discovered a park which must have been donated by a family by the name of Steffee.  There are building on both sides of a creek - this was the earliest, a cottage right by the creek.

I have never seen such huge "knees" - growths from the roots of Cyprus trees.  I think it means that the roots go very deep.

Just a picture by the creek that I like.

On one side of the creek, there is a new trail being made, and so far it doesn't go too far, but on the other side there are quite extensive trails, on rough cement and boardwalks.

Some of the trail goes through a cyprus swamp, but because it is so dry, there is little water right now.

Part of the trail has other kinds of trees, like pines.

I couldn't resist this bush of white flowers and got lucky with a bee.

On the way home we stopped to pick and eat some of this yummy fruit.

Boy, the gators around here are pretty big!:-)
