Our last Sunday in Kissimmee

On this our last Sunday in Kissimmee we again met Jo and Eric at the Celebration Community Church, then went with them to Bob Evans for lunch.  We had a really good visit with them, our last for awhile, as they are heading north soon, and we are heading further south.

After lunch, we decided to go for a bike ride in the area, even though it was VERY windy - 40 - 50 mph gusts.  We checked out a place that we had driven by earlier in the week - we think it is a Buddist camp, but aren't sure.

If you can read the sign at the gate, maybe you could let us know.

There are lots of interesting buildings.....

.....and statues......

.....and statues and buildings.

We then went back to the park that we discovered this week, just down the street a ways.

These were the only wildlife we saw.

We discovered that this is called Shingle Creek, and that it can be canoed on in the park for a few miles.

Back to the trails again.

One of the buildings in the park which is the former Steffee Homestead.
We also saw a map this time that shows there is more to the park than we have seen - on the north side of 192 - so we will be heading up there later this week to check it out.  Can't wait!
